Workshop Albanian Crime Tourism- Impact of Prison Education on Re-integrational Efforts in Switserland

 Staggering facts in this workshop. Young Albanian males are a very large population in Swiss prison population. They escape the desperate situation in their own country and often arrive in the criminal environment in Switserland. Many of these youg men are poorly educated. Once arrested, they get into a hopeless situation:

They can start an educational program in Swiss prison, but at the end of their sentence they are immediately deported to Albania (often without finishing their degree). 

Also as part of their sentence, they get a prohibition to enter Shengen-countries for a long time. This adds to their endless and hopeless view on life, as they can also not immigrate legally to other Shengen-countries and keeps them in the illegal migration system, with all financial problems and dangerous travel that come with it.
